BC Deals with Gold for the Week of December 10th, 2019

So my gaming last week was kind meager but I did keep playing Monster Hunter World which I didn’t expect. I was able to zoom past HR 29, and capped again at HR 49. I really don’t want to fight the Kirin, mostly because I’ve heard he’s a pain in the butt with randoms. So I’ve been avoiding it like the plague and focusing on tempereds and elder dragons. All the while, I’m of course upgrading my weapons (still either the glaive or hammer) and armor. I might as well work on those achievements. I’m still way behind on crowns though, hate that its a RNG scenario and I always end up on the opposite desired end of those situations.
I did start Sam & Max: Freelance Police, and man is that game slow. I made it through the first episode but the puzzles don’t make a lot of sense and the humor is so-so compared to the old PC game and the TV series. I will continue to go through it and should be done with it by the end of the year, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be rushing to play the sequel anytime soon.
Anyway, we have sales. There isn’t much to see here but that is a great discount on Lego Batman 2 which I absolutely adored playing earlier this year. Daytona USA and Fighting Vipers are easy completions if you are into that sort of thing. As always, remember Capcom Arcade Cabinet only contains the first pack of games. However, the DLC pack with the rest of the games usually gets a sale in a month or so. Alrighty, have a fun week and enjoy.

Looks like the new Games with Gold were announced over the Thanksgiving holiday. Sorry about missing that, but the last seven days weren’t kind. It’s not a bad lineup as I’ll probably download all four but whether I’ll play anything more than one of these titles remains to be seen. Enjoy.

Welp, I didn’t play much last week but I did finish Walking Dead Season 2 and I did finally get through the story mode of Monster Hunter World. So in other words, there was much rejoicing and sitting through a long final cut scene from MH World. But I had to or it wouldn’t have saved. I immediately jumped from HR 15 to HR 29 which is the next break point according to what I’ve read. I guess I over grind sometimes, lol. Anyway, I’ll probably put it down for a little bit and I’m guessing move on to Outer Worlds. I had also planned to look at the older Sam n Max games since I’ve been on a Telltale kick this year.
Well we do have some sales this week. The Dragon Ages and Crysis series are always a bang for your buck and will get you a ton of hours for very little investment. The Bureau and Bound by Flame aren’t talked about much but are sleeper gems that can be picked up for a couple of bucks. So have a great week, I’ll try to do the same, I have had a long seven days and I might be just get rest rather than trying to break into the Outer Worlds. Enjoy.

It’s been a very long hard, and busy week. I understand almost nobody cares about the details so I’ll spare them from you. I’m nearly done with Walking Dead Season 2, I’m halfway through the last episode and should finish up on Wednesday. I am also playing Monster Hunter again, got past a few tough spots and have I think 3 elder dragons left. Outer Worlds is on the shelf at the moment and will be picked up again after I finish the story mode of Monster Hunter.
On to the specific sales for this week. The Black Friday sales are ongoing, I’ve already picked up a couple of games and might grab another game or two. Not much in this list, of course if you haven’t played Condemned, it’s a fun romp. I played it a little bit but would love to go back to it at some point. Take it easy and at the very least try to have a better week than I’m having. Enjoy.
Aliens vs Predator* | Backward Compatible | 60% | $7.99 |

Black Friday Xbox BC Sale – Runs through November 25th, 2019

Alright, sorry for not posting this sooner. This work week has probably been one of the most hectic I’ve had in a long time. Of course, I can’t talk about it but just know it was extremely rough. Anyway, here are the sales. I’ll jump on later and post some thoughts and update the prices and remove the Non-BC Games. For right now with what I need to accomplish in my other life, I can only cut and paste (after the bump). Enjoy.

Welp, still running through Walking Dead Season 2. I’m through the third episode and a few chapters gone on the fourth. Good stuff, I’m glad I’m done with the compound though. I am going to try to wrap up the whole game by mid next week where I probably won’t play any games for almost a week (depressing, I know).
I also played some Monster Hunter as I finally got over my hump (Nerigigante). I don’t have much to go until I’ve beaten the story mode but the real trick is whether or not I keep playing after the story mode is complete. I sometimes feel like I’m getting past these quests with a stroke of luck, not skill. The only good thing about moving up in class is that the previous creatures that were giving me trouble are much easier now. As long as I keep upgrading my gear, I guess I have a chance of beating it.
I also played some more Outer Worlds which is a great game. Problem is, until I’m done with either Walking Dead S2 or Monster Hunter (story mode anyway), I have a hard time fitting in a third game. Anyway, on to the sales for this week. Don’t expect much as they are of course gearing up for Black Friday which I’m sure they will have a bunch of sales on popular games that I probably only have a passing interest in. They really should just blow out these Sonic games instead of these 50% jobs. But expect this to be the norm with the movie coming out next year. Which looks a lot better than it did, that’s for sure. We’ll see what happens. Until next time kids, enjoy.

Sorry about taking forever today to post this. Between a power outage and being out of sorts for a good chunk of the day, I finally had a few minutes to get this out to you. I am through the second episode of Walking Dead Season 2 and into the third. I still would like to finish all the them before Thanksgiving but it’s not going to come easy. I also started briefly Outer Worlds because I was so curious after everything I have read. Only played it for about half an hour but certainly has that Fallout vibe for sure. I’m not sure if I am going to dump 100 hours into it like Monster Hunter but we’ll see.
Here are the sales for this week. As you can see, it’s just a bunch of Sonic games. I do wish Resonance of Fate was backwards compatible, my disc would get more use that’s for sure. Anyway, probably about that time for me to get back to WD Season 2 or Outer Worlds. Take care and have a good week. Enjoy.

BC Deals with Gold for the Week of November 5th, 2019

Well, I did finish Wolf Among Us, satisfying until the end and that ending after the ending, whew. Fantastic stuff. Wish we would have gotten a Season 2 like probably everybody else who has played it. I did also start The Walking Dead Season 2, finished the first episode even. I’m trying to finish it up before Thanksgiving but that will require some effort to make that happen. After that, Telltale wise I’m planning on Sam & Max (yes the 360 games) and maybe Jurassic Park or Back to the Future before going back to TWD. Yes, minus a couple of games (Minecraft Season 2 can go take a leak on itself), I’m trying to complete almost all of the catalog.
Anyway, I would love to say we have some Xbox 360 BC Sales this week, but we have nothing as those two games are certainly not BC. In the spirit of my current gaming venture, I will point you over to the Xbox One sales where the Batman Telltale Games are up for a good price. A bundle of both will set you back $12.49 which is MORE than worth it. Seriously, I bought both of those on disc for $15-20 a piece and feel I got my money’s worth. Great games that really play with the Batman mythos. It’s a shame we’ll never see a final game to wrap up everything. Welp, that’s it for this week. I should have a review for the collector’s edition of Spirited Away (blu-ray) before the end of the week so be sure to stay tuned for that. Enjoy.

Games with Gold for Month of November 2019

Looks like the new Games with Gold were announced this morning. Well, the Xbox One list is pretty decent in my opinion. I also dig a good mystery game and you can’t go wrong with some Sherlock Holmes action. Final Station might be decent as well, but be warned there is some DLC for $5 that does add if nothing else quite a bit of achievement points to the game.
The 360 GWG is pathetic, sorry. I think we have all of the Xbox Original Star Wars games now and Joyride Turbo was given away as part of a Mountain Dew promotion or something where a bunch of people abused the system so pretty much everybody got it free already? That’s what I remember anyway. So yeah, I’ll get both of the Xbox One games but the 360 keeps getting slower and slower.
Do not be surprised if they abandon the 360 games with gold come the new year. There is just a feeling in the back of my head that keeps pointing towards it. Now whether they go to 3 or 4 games a month on Xbox One, I’m not sure, but we might be nearing the end of an era. Try to enjoy folks.
Xbox One
- Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter (November 1st-30th)
- The Final Station (November 16th – December 15th)
Xbox 360
- Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter (XBO) (November 1st-15th)
- Joyride Turbo (November 16th-30th)

Welp, I’m through four episodes with the Wolf Among Us and should have the fifth by the end of the week. As I’ve said just about every week, really well put together adventure game and I wish I would have played it earlier. I am still fumbling around in Monster Hunter World but as I’ve mentioned last week, I think it might be time for a new adventure after 100 hours. It’s gotten really repetitive. As to what I will play next, I really can’t say. I know I’ll start another Telltale game after Wolf Among Us (probably WD Season 2) but I always need an alternate for when I get bored. We’ll see I guess.
I wish I had some new and interesting sales to report about. But as far as the Xbox 360 is concerned, it looks like all hold over from the Shocktober sale that I talked about last week. Please see here for those sales. There is plenty to like from the prior sales and I’m not sure I have made all of my purchases yet as I’m still considering a couple of titles. So take a look and enjoy the rest of your week. Enjoy.
