Dante’s Inferno and R.U.S.E. added to backwards compatibility!!
Well, I would say one of these were expected, the other one probably not so much. Dante’s Inferno would probably be more interesting to me if they didn’t completely remove one of the DLCs in the game. Though not 100% confirmed, it mainly had to do with the dumping of their multiplayer server. But why couldn’t they just leave the DLC up, I have no idea. EA’s multiplayer (unless it’s a mega popular game) servers have always been the shit though, fact. R.U.S.E. is a nice addition if you like your RTS games long and complicated. Welp, enjoy.
- Dante’s Inferno $14.99 (also available on retail disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Dark Forest Pack $4.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Trials of St. Lucia (no longer available)
- Free DLC: Free Soul Pack
- R.U.S.E. $19.99 (also available on retail disc)
- Free DLC: Manhattan Project Pack
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 17th, 2018
Yes Felicia, I’m still playing Diablo 3. I’m about 72%/73% through the bounties. I have a nice shiny copy of Shining Resonance from Amazon, and I can’t even be bothered to open it. I did start messing with Kanai’s Cube in Diablo III which is quite the interesting tidbit if you are trying to get “super equipment” as it were. But yeah, I really need to start playing something else.
Interesting thing about last week, From Dust (not BC yet) was listed to be on sale, but not really on sale. Well, then it was taken off the sale list entirely. So I got frustrated and didn’t look at it anymore until Monday night. Not only was it on there, but the sale was actually activated at $4.49. I bought it so fast, lol. But seriously, that’s a load of bs that I might not have caught until it was too late. Watch, now it will be a GWG in two months.
Anyway, a lot of sales this week, but very few BC games. Quite odd actually, maybe that means that some of the games in this list will be made BC this week, we can hope. Well, until they announce some BC this week, I am out. Enjoy.
Faery – Legends of Avalon* | Backward Compatible | 75% | $1.87 |
Mars: War Logs* | Backward Compatible | 75% | $2.49 |
Overlord and Overlord II added to Backwards Compatibility!!
I was thinking that these two would come soon but honestly its hard to tell sometimes. Glad to have these two as part of the list. They are both underrated in my opinion and the only negative to these two is that the DLC for the first game is way over priced in my opinion. Also the online community for both games is pretty DOA, but the important thing is that these games can be played again or enjoyed for the first time by newcomers. Enjoy.
- Overlord $9.99 (also available on disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Challenge Pack $4.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Raising Hell Map Pack $9.99
- FREE DLC: Split Screen Pack
- Overlord II $9.99 (also available on disc)
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 10th, 2018
Well, I wish I could say I stayed away from Diablo III last week, I would be a big fat liar if I did. I’m up to 64% on the bounties and my witch doctor has recovered and exceeded anything that happened on that day where I lost some of my progress. He is very much a killing machine and lightening pretty much shoots out of everywhere. And if that doesn’t get you, then the numerous pets will. For bounties, I do Torment 2 as if it were nothing. For greater rifts, I think I’m up to the equivalent of Torment 5. I went back and played my Wizard, even gave him a bunch of upgrades (since he also feeds off intelligence) and it was boring as shit. So I’ll keep progressing on that. Honestly, if I keep this up, I should get up to 100% in 3 or 4 weeks.
So we do have some sales this week. Nice to see them put GRAW on the sale list a week after it goes BC. I was also interested in From Dust but if you go to the download page, it actually isn’t on sale. Hopefully it gets corrected by the end of the week. We’ll see what happens with any new BC games today or Thursday but please enjoy the rest of your week and hope they are good ones. Take care.

Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD & Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter added to Backwards Compatibility!!
Well, as it turns out we did have two games released to backwards compatibility today. Unfortunately, neither of which excite or surprise me. Hey, I’m just being honest :). But for AC and Ghost Recon/Tom Clancy fans, it’s awesome. Liberation is only available Digitally (even if you got the America’s trilogy on disc, it was still issued as a code unfortunately), just FYI for the discers such as myself. Enjoy.
- Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD $19.99
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter $19.99 (also available on disc)
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 3rd, 2018
Well, I am still playing Diablo (no surprise there). I even did a marathon type session on Friday. I finished off the 100 treasure goblins achievement, got a ton of gold and legendary gear for my witch doctor, and even got the event where the portal is left behind by the treasure goblin which leads to Greed. It was awesome, it was the most fun I had with the game in a long long time. Then I login on Saturday and about 90% is gone. The progress, the gear, the gold, almost all of it gone. The only confirmation that it ever happened was the goblin achievement still registered. And some of that stuff I’m not going to get back. The legendary sword and chest piece come to mind quickly. My only guess was that it did not back to the cloud or something else equally weird.
Anyway, I did find time to start another game, mostly in frustration to the event above. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania. It had been sitting on my shelf for a while, and I needed something to play on my 360. It’s pretty easy so far, so I don’t expect for it to stick around too long, but I needed a diversion after the Diablo shenanigans.
Here are the sales for this week. A nice assortment of Xbox One sales that might require some more research if nothing else. I want the RWBY game (even if I hear it is a grind fest), but waiting for the right price point on the bundle. Xbox 360 brings us mostly Mega Man this week it looks like. Not a bad thing, just not very exciting either. Maybe we’ll get a BC game today before heading off into July 4th weekend. Enjoy yourself kids and the holiday. Take care.

Games with Gold for Month of July 2018
Looks like the new Games with Gold are being announced today. This month did not get much better to be frankly honest. I don’t even know what to make of the Xbox One games. And to be honest, the 360 games are not my cup of tea. Virtua Fighter V is a technical fighter junkie’s dream but that’s not anywhere near how I describe myself when it comes to games (RPG/Hack n Slash/StoryTelling Junkie if you are curious). Splinter Cell, I’m a little more curious and might throw it in the backlog. Hopefully one of the two games for Xbox One surprises me because there is little here to be happy about. Enjoy.
Xbox One
- Assault Android Cactus (July 1st-31st)
- Death Squared (July 16th – August 15th)
Xbox 360
- Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (July 1st-15th)
- Splinter Cell Conviction (July 16th-31st)
Sensible World of Soccer, GRID Autosport, and Fable Heroes added to Backwards Compatibility!!!
I did read the Codemasters rumor earlier in the day, but alas did not report on it because I knew that I’d probably be wrong which games it would be. Because I was simply dreading yet another racing game which will probably end up being a future GWG. The soccer one makes sense too I suppose with the World Cup and everything. Fable Heroes, I played the demo a couple of times and was very unimpressed. I guess if they knock it down to $5 or something, I’ll probably be bamboozled into trying it a third time. I just was hoping with a Codemasters rumor that we might actually get the Overlord games.. That would certainly be a welcome surprise. Enjoy kids.
- Sensible World of Soccer $9.99
- GRID Autosport $24.99 (Cheaper on retail disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Sprint Pack $5.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Touring Legends Pack $12.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Drag Pack $4.99
- Fable Heroes $9.99
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of June 26th, 2018
Welp, got my second hardcore character to 70 in Diablo 3. This one actually counts since it happened on my Xbox One and not my 360. So 2 achievements left. Treasure Goblins (up to 81 now with 19 to go) and bounties (42% according to the ticker, so I have ~290 bounties left). So, at this point I’ll probably take a little break and play something else or finish up something I had left over (like my third playthrough of Oxenfree). If I don’t, I’ll get 50 to 100 bounties in to it and start hating myself (and then stop playing for a year). The Goblins will happen while I do bounties, so I’m not concerned about that.
I would love to say we have some 360 deals today, but that is not the case yet. There are a few XB1 offers that might warrant more than a glance. But I’ll respond back later in case there are some 360 sales or perhaps a new BC game for us to talk about. Take care and have a good week.
EDIT: June 27th, 2018 11:00am update. The 360 Deals are finally live. Great if you enjoy Sonic, not really much else. Enjoy.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 added to Backwards Compatibility!
It’s a Call of Duty game…cause we have never seen that before /sarcasm. I know I should be more happy, if nothing else the COD trolls are running out of things to complain about (I think they are down to just MW2). And it is a Tekken Tag special this week too. It’s just hard when the BC library is so crowded with COD titles and not enough RPGs. Well, enjoy kids.
