So this should be a much shorter blog and I really am using this as a vehicle to get a couple of things off my chest.  Also, it is one day before Thanksgiving and we are going to go quick hits on all of my thoughts before that faithful day.  This will be a bit different from my usual blogs, so let’s go shall we?

Quick Hits

  • Peggle 2 is done.  I finally finished the Snake level by getting every single peg on the board.  One hundred and eighty optional objectives all done, final achievement popped.  If you take a look at TrueAchievements, it is not an easy feat, but thank goodness.  For the immediate future, I will not be playing anymore puzzle games.
  • Skyrim – I beat the final Thieves Guild quest and also became the Guild Master.  I also popped the 50 dungeons cleared achievement as well as the Master Criminal achievement for holding a 1000 gold bounty in each of the nine realms.  The latter only took me half an hour on a separate save and was mostly go to outskirts of X, kill a guard (make sure in plain view), run like hell and then fast travel as soon as possible.  Rinse and repeat.  From here, I will probably attempt the Civil War questline as I need a serious change of pace from thieving everything that is not bolted down.  Oh, level 46 now, 4 to go to 50.
  • Patiently waiting for Black Friday and not sure exactly what to go for myself if anything.  I’m pretty sure I want a few 360 games from the Microsoft Store on Black Friday including Wolfenstein: New Order & the Evil Within.  Both are to be $19.99.  On Amazon (unless I see a matching deal for the 360 stuff in that time), I will probably stick to a handful of Blu-rays and I’m still hopeful for Arrow Season 2 to be $20 at some point (was $24.49 today, but I’m holding out).  Of course, I will update what I got once the weekend is over.
  • I was at Best Buy on Sunday though and I did purchase the new Fifth Element Steelbook as well as the new Prince album (with 3rdEyeGirl).  I have already listened to the Prince album and it is solid.  If you like your Funk with a heavy dose of rock, then this one is for you.  I’d say 7/10 and its growing on me (except for the song where the girls go all Iggy Azalea).  I love the cover as well.

  • Unless my wife somehow talks me into it (and quickly), I probably will not be doing the Voice Acting workshop.  It’s about money mostly, the $450 pricetag is not too high for what it is, its just $450 if that makes sense.  It also plays into the next part.
  • My house got an offer.  Yes, it certainly did.  Woohoo, okay that’s the good news and if everything works out by the end of January, I will be done with the house and can move on officially with my life.  The bad news, I have basically worried myself sick with the inspections.  The pest inspection has already come back and apparently I do have a small case of termites in one of the bedrooms.  It does however look localized and should not be a fortune to treat.  The regular inspection is still pending and hopefully there is nothing major stemming from that (like massive foundation repairs or roof issues).  But it’s money out of my pocket and I’m not touching what I give out for Christmas (because I really do believe in the giving even if I usually don’t get too much in the way of gifts).  So other things have to go (see Voice Acting Workshop). But don’t worry, this website is mine for a while, so that is not part of the cutback.
  • Anyway, not trying to be a bummer and bring this blog down. I kicked some butt in Skyrim right?  Okay, I swear I could probably play that game with my eyes closed by now.  Still thinking about that darn inspection.  Heck, I’ve refreshed my email about twenty times this afternoon after I saw the pest inspection because I just want to know what I am up against.  Okay, positive flow and energy.  And breathe.
  • One more quick hit, In the Heat of the Night is only $7.99 on blu-ray at Amazon right now.  Yeah, the movie that won the Oscar for best movie in 1967.  Fantastic movie.  “They call me Mr. Tibbs.”  If you don’t believe me, just read my dvd review from a few years back: http://upcomingdiscs.com/2007/03/25/in-the-heat-of-the-night/.  Go buy it now.
  • Okay, so I am going to wind this down.  As always, I appreciate comments a plenty (except those spam comments that seem to be all over sites these day).  Feel free to tell me to lighten up or whatever is on your mind.  I always listen.  Take care.
