Prince of Persia, Earth Defense Force 2025 and SINE MORA added to Backwards Compatibility!!!
Well, not exactly the three I was hoping for, but games are games nevertheless. Prince of Persia is the game where they actually charged you $10 in DLC to play the Epilogue. It also has a glitched achievement which might or might not unlock for you too. So we move on to Sine Mora which has a Xbox One port, so not too exciting there. Finally, Earth Defense Force 2025 is about the only standout and is fairly easy to get on Amazon, brand spanking new even. There we go, have fun, and again have a great week.
- Prince of Persia $19.99 (available on disc for far cheaper)
- DLC w/Achievements: Epilogue $9.99
- Earth Defense Force 2025: $49.99 (dear god, buy it on disc, it’s $12 @ Amazon)
- Free DLC: Ranger Weapon Set
- Free DLC: Air Raider Weapon Set
- Free DLC: Wing Diver: Weapon Set
- Free DLC: Fencer Weapon Set
- Sine Mora $9.99
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of August 7th, 2018
Welp, I am down to less than 30 bounties on Diablo 3 before it is said and done. This time next week I will have 100% the game (remember I had 100% the 360 version as well) and just maybe I’ll be finished with it. I am also trying to get to 3000 challenge points (at 2980) as I never really tried for any of them until recently. A nice way to end many hundreds of hours at this game. I’m not sure what will be the next big game I’ll play, but we’ll see what happens.
So this week looks like a whole lot of Fallout and the usual Faery & Mars: War Logs (I own Faery but never got around to playing it) assortment. Honestly, nothing much and hopefully we’ll get a good BC announcement today. Take care, enjoy your week and I’ll try to do the same. Take care.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Double Agent added to Backwards Compatibility!!
Backwards compatibility, Tom Clancy style. With Conviction getting the nod nearly six months ago, it was about time for these two to be added as well. The first thing you will probably notice is Blacklist is physical only. The digital got removed a while back but you can still obtain the disc for under $10. Double Agent is still widely available, digital is $20 but physically is a lot cheaper, going for $5 in some cases (if you don’t care about condition). So have a date with Sam Fisher and death the rest of the day, or don’t. Enjoy 🙂
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist (available on disc only)
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent $19.99 (cheaper on disc)
- Free DLC: 360 Downloadable Content (Looks like a couple of multiplayer maps/challenges and a new character w/3 outfits).
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 31st, 2018
The last day of the month. Yes, I’m still playing Diablo 3, I finally got another Greed Portal and I think I hit 87% on the bounties. I’m about 50 left. But on Saturday, I did actually play something else for about 2 hours. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. It was a former GWG and it looked fairly easy in the achievements. True to its Sega form, it was just that. This included even the two online achievements which thankfully still has a strong community. I never played the same person twice in fact in my ten fights. Even won four of them too. (Yes, I was surprised as well) Anyway, back to Diablo I guess, lol.
Well, this week can be called the Street Fighter sales week. The only Street Fighter related items that are not BC is anything involving Tekken or Street Fighter II/III. This might mean one of those titles goes BC this week, but we’ll see. I’ve been disappointed many many times before. Enjoy your week..

Games with Gold for Month of August 2018
Looks like the new Games with Gold are being announced today. A much better month in my opinion and hey we completed the whole set of Dead Space games as each one has been a GWG at some point. Microsoft really loves giving away those racing games, huh? Anyway, I’m digging the BC games, and there is lots to be happy about. For Honor might be decent too (though I’m not a fan of “Souls” games at all). Enjoy.
Xbox One
- Forza Horizon 2 Standard (August 1st-31st)
- For Honor (August 16th – September 15th)
Xbox 360
- Dead Space 3 (August 1st-15th)
- Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (August 16th-31st)
Silent Hill: HD Collection & Silent Hill: Homecoming added to Backwards Compatibility!!!
To me, these are two of the best releases we have had this year. I own Homecoming, but never got around to obtaining a disc copy of HD Collection, mostly due to all of the bugs I kept hearing the game have. It mostly had to do with the fact that Konami lost part of the source code and the development studio had to recreate that lost part from scratch. Extremely hard to do with a time crunch. But I will say that I believe most of these issues were ironed out eventually. Furthermore, for those like myself who don’t have the HD Collection, it is on sale this week for $7.49 (part of the Ultimate Game sale) which is far cheaper than any disc copy ($20-$25 typically). So good stuff all around. Enjoy.
- Silent Hill HD Collection $7.49 ($10.49 without Gold) (Normally $29.99) (also on disc)
- Silent Hill: Homecoming $19.99 (also on disc)
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 24th, 2018
Welp, up to 82% on the bounties in Diablo 3. I actually did take a break from it to play WWE Legends of Wrestlemania on the 360. I am at the point where the only thing I have left to do is the Wrestlemania mode after finishing the Legend Killer mode. Unfortunately, I’m running into a problem with the WM Mode and that is I’m not the quickest on the mini-games. I’m actually pretty darn slow. I got through the first two matches (which should be warmups) but it’s only going to get harder, much harder. I might have to be honest with myself in the sense that I’m not going to be able to quite get it through all of the matches. We’ll see, I’ll keep trying until I hit that wall.
Here are the deals for this week. As you can tell on the 360 side, it’s a lot of recycled sale games (and no new BC sales). Honestly it looks like all of the same games from before the Ultimate Game Sale which is still going on by the way. I’ve already purchased 4 Pinball FX 3 packs, Count Lucanor for the X1 and Mini-Ninjas for the 360. I probably won’t partake in anything else, but we’ll see. Enjoy kids, hopefully we get a BC announcement today.
Ultimate Game Sale is On until the End of July!
Well it’s that awesome time of the year where we get a ton of games on sale and hopefully there are a few that actually interest me. Thankfully, there are a ton of BC Games here to look at, though I’m not seeing any Xbox Originals which I was kinda hoping for on some level. There is a little bit of DLC, but unfortunately it looks to be the same DLC that usually goes on (example, Sleeping Dogs, Year of the Snake DLC but not Nightmare in North Point DLC). The exception being some of the Castlevania stuff which would be nicer if it was BC :). It will take me sometime as usual to get this all up here with pricing, but please enjoy. I would not expect anymore BC games to be announced until next week with the sale going on. Take care and hit the –More– for the full list.

Dante’s Inferno and R.U.S.E. added to backwards compatibility!!
Well, I would say one of these were expected, the other one probably not so much. Dante’s Inferno would probably be more interesting to me if they didn’t completely remove one of the DLCs in the game. Though not 100% confirmed, it mainly had to do with the dumping of their multiplayer server. But why couldn’t they just leave the DLC up, I have no idea. EA’s multiplayer (unless it’s a mega popular game) servers have always been the shit though, fact. R.U.S.E. is a nice addition if you like your RTS games long and complicated. Welp, enjoy.
- Dante’s Inferno $14.99 (also available on retail disc)
- DLC w/Achievements: Dark Forest Pack $4.99
- DLC w/Achievements: Trials of St. Lucia (no longer available)
- Free DLC: Free Soul Pack
- R.U.S.E. $19.99 (also available on retail disc)
- Free DLC: Manhattan Project Pack
BC Deals with Gold for the Week of July 17th, 2018
Yes Felicia, I’m still playing Diablo 3. I’m about 72%/73% through the bounties. I have a nice shiny copy of Shining Resonance from Amazon, and I can’t even be bothered to open it. I did start messing with Kanai’s Cube in Diablo III which is quite the interesting tidbit if you are trying to get “super equipment” as it were. But yeah, I really need to start playing something else.
Interesting thing about last week, From Dust (not BC yet) was listed to be on sale, but not really on sale. Well, then it was taken off the sale list entirely. So I got frustrated and didn’t look at it anymore until Monday night. Not only was it on there, but the sale was actually activated at $4.49. I bought it so fast, lol. But seriously, that’s a load of bs that I might not have caught until it was too late. Watch, now it will be a GWG in two months.
Anyway, a lot of sales this week, but very few BC games. Quite odd actually, maybe that means that some of the games in this list will be made BC this week, we can hope. Well, until they announce some BC this week, I am out. Enjoy.
